Janmashtami Puja Vidhi & Vrat Niyam — Midnight Puja at Home

On Janmashtami the whole family waits for midnight, but many homes are unsure in what order to do the puja, how to do the abhishek and when to end the vrat. This book explains everything in order, from the morning sankalp to the next day’s paran.

For the midnight puja — panchamrit abhishek, Laddu Gopal’s shringar, rocking the jhula, bhog and aarti — every step is in simple words. There is a puja samagri list and a simple chhappan bhog list, so you can make as much as you comfortably can. The usual vrat rules — phalahar, nirjal vrat and easier forms for elders or people who are unwell — are written in a calm, balanced way.
